My view of blogging

Weblogging or blogging is something entirely new to me, but the little knowledge that I have gathered so far from my reading tells me how important this media form is and going to be in the future. It provides a forum for interaction, spontaneous, or otherwise between persons who may never really get to meet face to face; it brings persons of varying backgrounds, opinions and views in contact with each other; and it provides the opportunities for professionals in the same or different careers to share their views, discoveries, researches, solutions and theories on different topics. Blogging gives everyone an open forum to express their opinions and thoughts and get feedbacks unlike a diary. As a future teacher, I am already beginning to salivate about the different applications of blogging in my classroom, and based on the few examples of what I have seen other teachers do with their curricula, the possibilities are endless and the future is extremely radiant.

HELLO WORLD !!!!!

Hello world, permit me to introduce myself. I am an old fashioned mildly conservative bay boomer who admires modern technologies from afar with awe and reservations. I do use a computer, when I have to, but never really developed the burning desire to explore the endless possibilities that it presents. I have an e-mail account that I hardly ever check, and use the internet to do basic research. Recently, I was afforded the opportuniy to change my profession by returning to school. About three weeks ago, I was introduced to another aspect of the computer and internet that I find extremely fascinating and exhilarating. Since my first encounter with "BLOGGING", it seems a whole new world has been opened up to me. This new "BLOGGING" world is exciting and the possibilities for its application in my newly chosen profession is endless. I know the old saying that "you can not teach an old dog new tricks", but this old dog just want you to know that he is immensely enthralled about the new tricks that he is learning. WOOF, WOOF!!!

The future is bright and exciting

The exciting news for me is that this is a very interesting class. I am in awe at what is possible when this course is over. Just think about the possiblities for us as future teacher.
